Is Prayagraj administration ready to apologize to Avimukteshwaranand? Controversy deepened due to officials’ statement on the claim

Swami Avimukteshwaranand Controversy: The dispute between Swami Avimukteshwaranand and the police regarding bathing during Magh Mela is not stopping. Now this matter has reached Prayagraj High Court. On one hand, Avimukteshwarananda’s PRO claims that the administration is making a lot of efforts to convince him, while on the other hand, the administration has rejected it outright. Avimukteshwaranand’s PRO claims that he will take bath only if both the conditions of Swamiji are met. At present, there is a situation of tension between the administration and Avimukteshwarananda.

What did Avimukteshwarananda’s PRO say?
After the controversy on the day of Mauni Amavasya, the public relations officer of Swami Avimukteshwarananda said that senior officials of Prayagraj administration are convincing him to take bath again with full respect. He also told that Avimukteshwaranand Swami has put many conditions before taking bath. He has demanded strict action against the policemen who assaulted the disciples, a written apology and making a permanent SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for bathing for the four Shankaracharyas.

The dispute reached the High Court
Actually, on the day of Mauni Amavasya, Swami Avimukteshwarananda was going with his disciples to take bath in Sangam. During this time, the administration refused to let him go citing the crowd. When the administration refused, a dispute broke out between the police and his disciples. It is alleged that during this time the police beat up the disciples, the video of which also went viral. After the dispute, Swami Avimukteshwarananda became angry and returned without taking bath. Swami Avimukteshwaranand has taken the help of law in this matter and has filed a petition in the High Court demanding a CBI investigation.

Fair administration rejected the claim
The Prayagraj administration has completely rejected what was said by the PRO of Avimukteshwarananda. The administration says that no such effort has been made from their side. Swami Avimukteshwarananda’s lawyer has filed a letter petition in Prayagraj High Court demanding action.
In the petition, a demand has been raised to register an FIR against the policemen who assaulted the disciples and to suspend the officers involved. An appeal has been made to conduct an investigation by the CBI to ensure that there is no foul play in the case and that the culprits are punished.

Avimukteshwarananda returned without taking bath
After the controversy, Swami Avimukteshwarananda has gone from Prayagraj to Varanasi without taking bath in Magh Mela. His disciples say that if the administration accepts our conditions, then they will have to come to Varanasi and convince them and take a bath with respect in Prayagraj. At present, the dispute between the administration and Avimukteshwaranand does not seem to be stopping.
