New Delhi. Holi festival is round the corner and the number of travelers returning home on this festival increases every year. Keeping this in mind, Indian Railways has announced to run more than 1,410 special trains in the month of March, keeping in mind the convenience of passengers and crowd control. This number can be increased to 1,500 if demand increases.
Let us tell you that last year in 2025, 1,144 special trains were run. This step by Railways ensures that passengers get smooth and safe travel during the festival. The operation of special trains will not only control crowding but will also strengthen connectivity between major cities and rural areas.
