Surat, The bodies of a couple and their 13-year-old son were recovered from their apartment in Lalgate area of Surat city in Gujarat on Tuesday. Police have expressed fear that everyone may have died due to suffocation due to gas leakage. Deputy Commissioner of Police Raghav Jain said that the bodies of Faiz Ahmed (45), Mubina (36) and Noman (12) were recovered at around 11.30 am. All the doors and windows of the apartment were closed and the main door was also locked from inside. Foam was coming out of his mouth. We spoke to forensic experts and tried to find out the possible cause of death. The primary suspicion is suffocation due to gas leakage as air conditioners and geysers are in the common area and the policemen felt suffocated there.
Forensic experts believe that this could be the main cause of death. Food poisoning may also be a less likely cause. Blood samples and all other relevant evidence are being sent to experts to ascertain the exact cause of death. Deputy Commissioner of Police said that the matter is being investigated from every aspect.
