
New Delhi. President Draupadi Murmu attended the 9th International Santhal Conference in Siliguri, West Bengal on Saturday (March 7). He raised questions to the Mamata government regarding the venue fixed for the program here. Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s reaction has come to light. He has called it shameful. Said that TMC has crossed all limits. On President Murmu’s statement, CM Mamata Banerjee had said that she was trapped in the web of BJP’s policies.
‘This has never happened before’
PM Narendra Modi expressed his reaction to this entire matter on social media. In a social media post, he wrote that this is shameful, this has never happened before. Everyone who believes in democracy and empowerment of tribal communities is disappointed. In a social media post, the PM wrote that the President herself belongs to a tribal community. The pain and suffering he has expressed has deeply saddened the people of India.
TMC crossed all limits- PM
Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote in a social media post that the TMC government of West Bengal has really crossed all limits. His administration is responsible for this insult to the President. It is unfortunate that the West Bengal government is being careless on important subjects like Santhal culture. He further wrote in the post that the post of President is above politics and the sanctity of this post should always be respected. Hopefully there will be understanding between the West Bengal government and TMC.
The President had expressed his displeasure
President Draupadi Murmu attended the 9th International Santhal Conference held at Bidhannagar, Siliguri on Saturday. He raised questions regarding the absence of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. Along with this, regarding the venue of the program, he had said that it was small, due to which a large number of people from the Santhal community could not participate.
Mamata Banerjee’s counterattack
CM Mamata Banerjee hit back and said that she respects the President but if someone comes 50 times, he cannot attend the program. He further said that he was not aware of that programme. They are sitting on strike. Taking BJP to task, Mamata Banerjee said that BJP has sent the President to carry forward its agenda. She is trapped in the web of BJP’s policies.
