BhopalFinance Minister Jagdish Deora in the Mohan Yadav government today presented the third budget of his tenure. In this time’s budget, the government has started many ambitious projects for farmers. However, on the other hand, opposition former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has given a disappointing response to this budget and has termed it as a betrayal of the public. He posted on his social media handle
The issue of public interest has been completely cleared – Kamal Nath.
He further wrote that in the budget presented by Finance Minister Shri Jagdish Deora today, only lip service has been made and the issue of public interest is completely clear. The major promises made by the Bharatiya Janata Party to the people and voters of Madhya Pradesh before the assembly elections held in November 2023, all those promises were missing from the Finance Minister’s budget speech even after two and a half years. The election promises made to the farmers, women power, youth and all sections of the state were not given any place in the budget.
The four major promises that the Bharatiya Janata Party had made to the people of Madhya Pradesh before the assembly elections are as follows.
Kamal Nath reminded BJP of its promises
Minimum support price of paddy to farmers Rs 3100 per quintal
Minimum support price of wheat to farmers Rs 2700 per quintal
3 thousand rupees per month to women under Ladli Behan Yojana
Domestic gas cylinder for Rs 450.
Kamal Nath’s allegations against BJP
The Bharatiya Janata Party has not given any place to these four announcements in the budget and has made it clear that this government is anti-people, it is going to betray the public and its nature is to break promises. The people of Madhya Pradesh have been deeply disappointed by this budget. Apart from this, the Finance Minister also did not clarify why the announcements made in the previous budget were not fulfilled.
Asked this question to Finance Minister Jagdish Deora
The Finance Minister also did not tell what is the government’s strategy on reducing the share of taxes received from the Central Government by Rs 50 thousand crore in the next five years. Apart from this, an amount of several thousand crores was not paid by the Central Government to Madhya Pradesh in the current financial year for the schemes run with the cooperation of the Center and the State.
Public interest mortgaged in the hands of the Centre: Kamal Nath
Looking at these various aspects, it is clearly understood that the BJP government of Madhya Pradesh is not keeping in mind the interest of the people of the state and has mortgaged the interest of the people of the state in the hands of the Center as a puppet of the Central Government.
