New Delhi. Poet Kumar Vishwas has given a sharp reaction to the protests that took place during an international conference related to AI (AI Summit) organized in the capital New Delhi. He targeted the Congress, terming the shirtless protest as “issue-less politics” of the opposition.
Protest took place at the conference venue
This demonstration was done by National Youth Congress workers. The event was held at Bharat Mandapam, where protesters raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Youth Congress leaders say that this protest was not against the conference, but regarding the interim trade agreement with America and issues related to farmers and youth. President of the organization, Uday Bhanu said that when there is concern on questions like employment and agriculture, then it is a democratic right to register a protest.
Kumar Vishwas expressed his displeasure on social media
Kumar Vishwas wrote on social media that at a time when the country is showcasing its technological capabilities on the global stage, such a demonstration is “damaging to the country’s image”. Commenting, he said that this protest shows the absence of real issues.
BJP also criticized
BJP leaders also attacked Congress regarding the demonstration. Party spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla called it against the country’s achievements, while another spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari also criticized the Congress on social media, saying that such behavior on the international stage is inappropriate.
This protest that took place during the AI conference organized in Delhi has taken the form of a political controversy. On one hand, the opposition is calling it a symbol of policy disagreement, while on the other hand, the ruling party and other critics are linking it to the country’s image.
