Resolve ongoing differences with America through dialogue and diplomacy: Rodriguez

Caracas. Venezuela’s acting President Delsey Rodriguez has said that the ongoing differences with the US will be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy. At an event with oil workers at a Puerto la Cruz refinery in northeastern Venezuela on Sunday, Rodriguez said his government would negotiate directly with the United States on long-running disputes. He called it Bolivarian diplomacy.
According to media reports, Rodriguez said that we are not afraid, because what unites us as a country is to guarantee peace and stability for this country. He said Venezuela never expected a South American capital to be attacked militarily by a foreign power. He referred to the incident of January 3, when the US military attacked Caracas and forcibly abducted President Nicolas Maduro and his wife.
Delsey Rodriguez appealed for unity in the country and said that internal differences should be resolved only through mutual political dialogue. He clearly said that there is no need for any foreign interference in this. He said Venezuelan politicians should stop taking orders from Washington. Venezuela must resolve its own differences and conflicts. Earlier on Saturday, Delsey Rodriguez had appealed for talks with the opposition. He had said that for peace in the country, all parties should come together and make agreements.
