By the weekend, the maximum temperature may again reach around 30 degrees Celsius, although there is no possibility of any major drop in the morning temperature. According to the weather department, the western disturbance is expected to move from the hilly states. Whereas the cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan and surrounding areas will still persist. Due to this, there will be cloudy sky in Delhi and surrounding areas as well as in many parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. However, the temperature will increase from 19-20 February onwards. Whereas in some areas of North India including Delhi-NCR, the weather will start clearing from February 19. Widespread rainfall activities will end. After this, the temperature will again increase rapidly and by the coming weekend the maximum temperature can again reach around 30 degrees Celsius. According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet, at present a western disturbance is active over the hilly areas, while an induced cyclonic circulation remains over western Rajasthan. This system moved eastwards, passed through Central Rajasthan and reached near Delhi region. Due to which the weather patterns in Delhi and surrounding areas changed. After prolonged drought-like conditions in February, rain was recorded in Delhi and surrounding areas on Wednesday morning. After about three weeks of the month, most parts of Delhi-NCR received light, but relieving rain. The weather is likely to clear from February 19 and there will be good sunshine. After this the day temperature will increase again. The coming weekend is expected to be hot.

A low pressure area is formed over the equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining areas of South Bay of Bengal. The cyclonic circulation associated with it extends to a height of about 5.8 km above mean sea level. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and become stronger over south-west Bay of Bengal and equatorial sea area in the next 24 hours. While a Western Disturbance is active as a cyclonic circulation in the upper air over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab region. Which is situated between 3.1 to 5.8 km altitude. At the same time, induced cyclonic circulation remains over Punjab and surrounding areas. Which extends up to 1.5 km height. A trough extends up to 1.5 km height from south-east Arabian Sea to north-west Madhya Pradesh, through Gujarat and south-east Rajasthan. According to Skymet, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh on February 19. Whereas Uttarakhand may also experience sporadic rain and snowfall. At the same time, there is a possibility of light rain, thunder and lightning at some places in Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan. Light rain and thunder may occur at some places in Madhya Pradesh also. There is a possibility of rain, thunder and strong winds in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
