In fact, the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has announced a nationwide strike on January 27 and its direct impact can be seen on banking operations. Due to this strike, services like bank deposits and withdrawals and customer service in branches may be affected. Amidst this problem, you can easily complete some of your important banking tasks even while sitting at home. Let us know how?

Why the strike of bank unions?
There may be an impact on banking operations across the country on Tuesday, because the United Forum of Bank Unions has decided to go on strike across the country on January 27. Their demand is that the rule of 5 days work week (5 Days Work Week Demand) should be implemented immediately, so that bank employees can get two days leave.

According to the bank unions, several rounds of discussions have been held on this issue with the Central Government and the Indian Banks Association (IBA) for a long time, but till now no concrete decision has been taken regarding our demands. Unions say that like other government departments, work-life balance is necessary in banks too and 5 Days Work Week system should be implemented.

Announcement on January 23, this work will be affected
It is noteworthy that United Forum of Bank Unions is the main body of 9 unions. On January 23, the union had held a meeting with the Chief Labor Commissioner regarding their demand for a five-day work week, but after no solution was found, a nationwide strike was announced.

If we talk about the work affected by this strike, then there may be hindrances in work ranging from depositing cash to withdrawal of money by going to the bank branch. Apart from this, there may be an impact on the work related to customer service available in branches to assist customers, bank loans and other documentation.

This way you can complete banking work sitting at home
Usually, when banks are closed during any festival or event or weekly holiday, all the important banking tasks are done through online banking from home and it can be used even after Tuesday’s strike. Online services are available 24X7 and tasks like online transactions can be completed very easily. All government and private banks provide this facility to the customers. Apart from this, this strike is not likely to affect the bank ATM or UPI system.

Apart from this, the functioning of other private banks including HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank or Axix Bank is also not likely to be affected, because the employees of these private banks are not involved in the bank unions’ strike.
