Meerut. In the much talked about Saurabh Rajput murder case in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh, the court has given a historic and tough verdict and has sentenced the main accused Muskaan and her lover Sahil to death. Along with this, a fine of twenty thousand rupees each has also been imposed on both of them. This sensational case occurred on March 3, 2025, when Saurabh Rajput was brutally murdered and his body was cut into five pieces and stuffed in a blue drum.
The accused cried during video conferencing
Muskan and Sahil, who are in jail, were connected to the hearing through video conferencing just before the court pronounced the sentence. As soon as they heard the announcement of punishment, both the accused started crying bitterly. When the judge questioned Muskaan about her last wish or her crime, she cried and pleaded for her daughters to be taken care of and after that she became completely silent. Whereas, when Sahil was asked the same question, he stood silently.
Reaction of victim’s family
After the verdict came, tears welled up in the eyes of deceased Saurabh’s mother. Heaving a sigh of relief, he said that he had full faith in the law and justice system and finally he got justice peacefully. Saurabh’s brother Bablu told the media that his family was demanding death sentence for the accused from the beginning. He clarified that now he has no connection with those accused nor does he want to adopt them. The family also said that if in future any attempt is made by the accused for DNA test or any other pressure, then their family will not cooperate in it at all.

Prosecution lawyer Vijay Bahadur, who is defending the case, informed that the court has punished both the convicts, Sahil and Muskaan, with death penalty. On the basis of strong evidence presented by the police and prosecution, the court has given this harsh verdict in this heinous murder case.
