New Delhi. Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijeet Deepke was produced in the court on Saturday, from where he was granted conditional bail. The court has given clear instructions that he should be released only after paying the prescribed bond. Deepke was detained by the police during a ‘Tiranga March’ on Friday, after which he was arrested. At the same time, Neha Bora, who was detained with him, was released on Saturday morning itself.

Court appearance in the afternoon and Neha Bora’s allegations

Initially it was estimated that the police would present Abhijeet Deepke in the court before 12 noon, but he was presented in the court at around 3 pm. After the release, Neha Bora raised serious questions on the police action and made sharp allegations and said that the government should give up its arrogance.

According to All India Students Association (AISA), Neha Bora has been awarded R.K. Puram police station and was taken to different places for several hours. On the other hand, despite heavy police force deployed in some parts of Delhi, some protesters were also detained by the police as they continued to protest.

Second arrest in just eight days

Abhijeet Deepke and his party colleagues are continuously protesting against the government. This is the reason why even before this on October 10, the police had arrested Deepke, although he was released the next day on a bond of Rs 50,000. At that time he had promised to protest peacefully for a year, but after just eight days of this bond, he had to be arrested again. At present his other associates Ashutosh Ranka and Saurabh Das are lodged in Tihar jail.
