In a major step toward digitalizing rural medicine, the Indian government has officially launched the Ayush-Gram app this April. The application is designed to bridge the gap between urban specialists and rural patients by providing a direct link to healthcare services.
Key Features of Ayush-Gram:

Tele-Consultation: Patients in remote villages can now schedule video calls with certified doctors for primary health concerns.

Digital Health Vault: Users can store their medical history and prescriptions securely, integrated with the ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account).

Medicine Delivery: In partnership with local postal services, the app facilitates the delivery of essential medicines to doorsteps in areas where pharmacies are sparse.
The app is currently being piloted in 500 districts across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh, with a nationwide rollout expected by the end of 2026. This initiative aims to reduce the burden on city hospitals while ensuring that “last-mile” citizens receive timely medical attention.
