New Delhi. ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) founder Abhijit Dipke, arrested in connection with the protest against the Chief Election Commissioner, will be produced in the court of Special Executive Magistrate (SEM) located at Mandir Marg Police Station at around 12 noon on Saturday. In view of this appearance, security arrangements have been made extremely tight outside the Mandir Marg police station. Ratna Singh, head of legal affairs of CJP, has shared this information through social media.

Delhi Police registered several FIRs

Delhi Police has registered several FIRs for taking out ‘Lehra Do Tiranga’ protest march in violation of prohibitory orders and gathering huge crowd in Connaught Place and other major areas of New Delhi on Friday. According to police officials, prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS) were already in force in the area and people had gathered on the streets despite repeated warnings. Police have clarified that strict legal action will also be taken against other miscreants and protesters who violate the rules.

CJP’s kidnapping allegation and Neha Bora’s sharp attitude

Earlier, CJP leader Ajinkya Shinde had released a video on social media and seriously accused Delhi Police of kidnapping Abhijeet Dipke. He said that after his detention, the police did not give any official information about Dipke’s whereabouts or condition to his family members, lawyers or any party official for a long time. On the other hand, after being released from police custody, AISA National President Neha Bora raised strong questions on the functioning of the police administration. He alleged that common citizens are being treated like criminals and even after sunset, people are being kept in police stations overnight, disregarding the rules. Taking aim at the government over the heavy restrictions and barricades imposed in Central Delhi, he said that this has disrupted the lives of the common people. He demanded that the process of removing the Chief Election Commissioner be initiated and SIR be banned so that the democratic rights of the citizens of the country can be protected.
