As April 2026 winds down, the focus in the foldable world has shifted to Motorola. While the Razr 70 Ultra (set to be marketed as the Razr Ultra 2026 in the US) was officially teased earlier this month, a massive technical leak from the TENAA certification database and retail sources has now laid bare every major specification.
Familiar Design, Meaningful Upgrades
At first glance, the Razr 70 Ultra maintains the iconic silhouette of its predecessor. It features a 7-inch foldable OLED main display (2992×1224) and a large 4-inch cover screen that continues to wrap around the camera sensors. However, the internal build has been refined. Despite having almost identical dimensions (171.48 x 73.99 x 7.19mm) and the same 199g weight, Motorola has managed to squeeze in a significantly larger 5,000mAh battery. This 6% capacity bump, paired with 68W wired charging, addresses the primary pain point of flip-style foldables: endurance.
The “Elite” Performance Strategy
Interestingly, the 2026 model is sticking with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. While some expected a newer “Gen 5” variant, industry analysts suggest this move allows Motorola to maintain a competitive price point despite the skyrocketing costs of RAM and NAND flash storage. The device will be a multitasking beast, however, offering configurations with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of storage.
Smart Optics and Pantone Colors
The camera system is getting a “triple-50” treatment. The Razr 70 Ultra will sport:
