New Delhi. The troubles of famous YouTuber Dhruv Rathi seem to be increasing. Delhi’s Saket Court has issued a bailable warrant against YouTuber Dhruv Rathi in a defamation case of 2018. This warrant has been issued while hearing the defamation complaint filed by Vikas Sankrityayan. The complainant alleges that Rathi had made false and defamatory allegations against him in one of his videos.

What is the whole matter?

This entire legal dispute is related to the video made by Dhruv Rathi titled ‘BJP IT Cell Part-2’. The court of Judicial Magistrate First Class Rahul Jain of Saket Court, who is hearing the case, ordered the issuance of bailable warrant. The court was informed that when the notices issued earlier were sent to Dhruv Rathi’s address, the premises there were found closed. Earlier this week, the court had also issued fresh summons to Rathi. Meanwhile, the complainant had asked the court to fix the hearing date of the case earlier, as the previously scheduled hearing was to be held on November 20.

Presence and address information in India

The complainant also argued in the court that Dhruv Rathi usually resides abroad, due to which there is difficulty and delay in serving summons to him for the last several years. However, he is currently in India in connection with another protest. The complainant had also claimed to have information about Rathi’s official residence in Haryana. Considering all these aspects, the court has now fixed October 31 for the next hearing of this case.
