Following their global announcement late last month, Samsung’s latest mid-range contenders, the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G, have officially gone on sale in India as of April 10, 2026. This year, Samsung isn’t just focusing on hardware; it is aggressively pushing “Awesome Intelligence”—a suite of Galaxy AI features—down from its S-series to these more accessible models.
Pricing and Positioning
The Galaxy A-series has always been the bread and butter for Samsung in India, and the 2026 lineup sets a new bar for premium mid-range pricing:
-
Galaxy A37 5G: Starts at ₹41,999, targeting the competitive sub-45k segment.
-
Galaxy A57 5G: Starts at ₹56,999, blurring the lines between the A-series and the flagship S-series “FE” models.
Hardware: Slimmer, Brighter, Faster
Both devices feature a refined design language with a notable reduction in thickness. The Galaxy A57 measures just 6.9mm, yet surprisingly manages to house a 5,000mAh battery with an upgraded vapor chamber that is 13% larger than last year’s model.
The displays remain a highlight: both sports 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panels with 120Hz refresh rates and Samsung’s Vision Booster technology, which allows for peak brightness levels previously reserved for the Ultra models. Under the hood, the A37 is powered by the Exynos 1480, while the A57 reportedly utilizes a more potent custom chipset optimized for sustained AI tasks like real-time translation and “Edit Suggestion” for photos.
