Mohan Dixit (MD Sir) (born 18 July 1999), popularly known as MD Sir Official, is an Indian choreographer, dance educator, director, and the founder of Unique Dance Studio, the first government-registered dance academy in Orai, district Jalaun (Uttar Pradesh).
Although his real name is Mohan Dixit, he earned his identity and public recognition as “MD Sir,” a name now widely respected across Bundelkhand.
He is recognized as one of Bundelkhand’s youngest choreographers, known for his contribution to dance education, youth talent development, and the Bundelkhandi music video industry.
Early Life and Education
Mohan Dixit (MD Sir) was born in Orai, Uttar Pradesh, to Mahesh Dixit and Vandana Dixit, and grew up with Geeta Dixit and Prem Dixit.
From childhood, his interests included dance, drawing, craft, and scriptwriting, which shaped his artistic personality.
He completed his schooling from Bal Bharti Inter College, Orai, and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gandhi Mahavidyalay, Orai.
A self-trained dancer, MD Sir built his dance foundation through regular practice, stage performances, and early teaching experiences.
Career
Early Beginnings
At the age of 16, Mohan Dixit (MD Sir) began his teaching career using a school scholarship to start a small dance class—buying a mirror and basic training materials.
He also performed on the TV reality show “India’s Beat Dancer”, which brought him early recognition.
Professional Journey
In 2016, he founded Unique Dance Studio, which later became Jalaun district’s first government-registered dance academy.
He has trained 4000+ studio students and taught 16,000+ school students.
Direction and Choreography in Bundelkhand
Along with dance education, Mohan Dixit (MD Sir) has directed and choreographed several Bundelkhandi album songs, contributing significantly to regional music-video growth.
