Social media giant Instagram has rolled out an exciting new AI-powered feature that is set to transform the way users send voice messages. The platform has introduced AI Voice Effects in Direct Messages (DMs), allowing users to add creative filters to their voice notes and make conversations more engaging.
Feature Now Available in India
The new AI Voice Effects feature is now live in India, enabling users to access it directly within any chat window. This update marks another step in Instagram’s push to integrate advanced AI tools into everyday user interactions.
Multiple Voice Filters to Choose From
With this feature, users can experiment with eight different voice effects, including Chipmunk, Demon, Alien, Robot, Underwater, Stadium, Wobble, and Fishbowl. For those who prefer a natural tone, there is also an “Original” option that allows sending voice notes without any effects.
Easy to Use and Interactive
Using the feature is simple. Users just need to open a chat in Instagram DMs, tap the voice recording button, and select the AI Voice Effects option. After recording, they can apply their preferred effect, preview the audio, and then send it.
Interestingly, recipients can also tap on the received voice note and try out the same effect themselves, making conversations more interactive and fun.
More AI Features on the Way
Instagram is reportedly working on another AI feature called “Create My Likeness.” This upcoming tool could allow users to generate photos and videos using AI, potentially including face-swap technology for more personalized content creation.
