MP RTE Lottery 2026: School Allotment Results for Free Private School Admission Out Today

BHOPAL: Under the provisions of the Right to Education (RTE) Act, the Rajya Shiksha Kendra (RSK), Madhya Pradesh, has officially released the results of the MP RTE Lottery 2026. This initiative ensures that 25% of seats in private unaided schools are reserved for children from economically weaker sections (EWS) and disadvantaged groups. Parents who applied for their children’s admission for the 2026-27 academic session can now check the allotment status online at rteportal.mp.gov.in.

How the Online Lottery Works

The allotment is conducted through a transparent, randomized computer-generated system. To ensure fairness, the lottery prioritizes applicants based on their neighborhood (ward/village) and the preferences marked during the registration phase.

Steps to Check Allotment Status

Parents can verify if their child has been allotted a school by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official MP RTE portal: rteportal.mp.gov.in.

  2. On the homepage, click on the link “RTE Online Lottery Result 2026-27”.

  3. Enter the Application ID (Panchayan Number) and the Registered Mobile Number.

  4. Submit the details to view the allotted school name and address.

  5. If selected, click on “Download Allotment Letter”.

Critical Deadlines for Admission

Securing a name in the lottery is only the first step. To finalize the admission, parents must act quickly:

  • Download Allotment Letter: Available from April 5 to April 15, 2026.

  • Reporting to School: Parents must visit the allotted private school with the original documents and the allotment letter by April 18, 2026.

  • Verification: The school head will verify the documents (Income Certificate, Caste Certificate, and Birth Certificate) before confirming the admission on the portal.

What if No School is Allotted?

If a child is not allotted a school in the first round, parents should not lose hope. The RSK usually conducts a Second Round of the lottery for the remaining vacant seats. Information regarding the second round’s choice-filling and schedule will be updated on the portal by the end of April.

This program continues to be a cornerstone of educational equity in Madhya Pradesh, helping thousands of children gain access to quality private schooling regardless of their financial background.
