MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has officially released the admit cards for the RBI Assistant 2026 Preliminary Examination. This recruitment drive aims to fill 650 vacancies for the post of Assistant across various regional offices of India’s central bank. Candidates who completed their registration in February and March can now access their hall tickets on the official RBI website, rbi.org.in.
Exam Schedule and Key Dates
The preliminary examination is the first hurdle in a three-stage selection process (Prelims, Mains, and Language Proficiency Test). For the 2026 cycle, the RBI has scheduled the online preliminary test on two dates:

Mandatory Documents for the Exam Center
Entry to the examination hall is strictly conditional. Candidates must carry:

Preliminary Exam Pattern
The Prelims is an objective-type online test of 100 marks with a duration of 60 minutes. It consists of three sections:

Reasoning Ability: 35 Questions (20 Minutes)
Candidates must secure minimum marks in each of the three sections as well as an overall aggregate to qualify for the Mains Examination, which is tentatively scheduled for June 7, 2026.
Bhopal Office Focus
For local aspirants, the Bhopal RBI Office (which also covers Raipur) has a significant allocation this year with 30 vacancies (21 for General/UR, 5 for ST, 3 for EWS, and 1 for SC). This makes it a high-interest zone for candidates in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Experts suggest that since there is negative marking (0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer), accuracy should be the priority over the number of attempts in these final days of preparation.
