The Indian mid-range market is about to witness a cooling revolution as rumors intensify around the upcoming Oppo K15 Pro. Expected to launch in India by late April 2026, the K15 Pro is set to be a “performance disruptor,” targeting gamers and heavy multitaskers who have long struggled with thermal throttling. Leaked internal documents suggest that the K15 Pro will be the first mainstream smartphone to feature an Active Liquid Cooling (ALC) system—a technology previously reserved for bulky, dedicated gaming rigs.

How Active Liquid Cooling Works
Unlike the passive vapor chambers found in most flagships, the K15 Pro’s ALC system reportedly uses a micro-centrifugal pump and a dedicated coolant loop. This system doesn’t just dissipate heat; it actively moves it away from the CPU and GPU to a large dissipation area near the phone’s frame. This setup is expected to reduce core temperatures by up to 15°C during sustained 120FPS gaming sessions. This ensures that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 5 chipset inside can maintain its peak clock speeds without the dreaded frame drops that plague other devices in the summer heat of India.
The “K-Series” Power Profile
Beyond its thermal management, the K15 Pro is a spec-heavy beast. It is rumored to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a dedicated X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback. To support extended gaming, Oppo is reportedly packing a 6,500mAh battery with 120W SuperVOOC charging, allowing players to go from zero to 100% in under 25 minutes. The design is said to be “Cyber-Industrial,” featuring a transparent glass section on the back that gives a glimpse of the liquid cooling pipes and the internal hardware.
Anticipated Pricing and Competition
Industry insiders expect the Oppo K15 Pro to be priced between ₹34,999 and ₹38,999, placing it in direct competition with the OnePlus Nord series and Poco’s F-series flagships. By introducing a dedicated cooling solution at this price point, Oppo is making a clear play for the “Performance-First” segment of the market. If the ALC technology proves as effective as the leaks suggest, the K15 Pro could become the new benchmark for what a sub-40k performance phone should be.
Official invites for the launch event are expected to be sent out in the coming days, with the device likely going on sale via Flipkart and major offline retailers across India.
