NEW DELHI – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is in the final stages of preparing the Class 10 Phase 1 results for the 2025-26 academic session. Official sources within the ministry indicate that the results are highly anticipated to be released by April 15, 2026, bringing an end to the wait for nearly 2.5 million students across the country and at international centers.
A New Chapter in Evaluation
The 2026 results carry significant weight as they represent a major milestone in the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP). This year, CBSE transitioned to a bifurcated exam structure designed to reduce the high-stakes pressure typically associated with a single year-end examination. Phase 1, conducted during the winter months, focused primarily on the first half of the syllabus, and these upcoming scores will constitute 50% of the final aggregate marks for the academic year.
How to Check Your Results
To ensure a seamless experience for the massive volume of users, CBSE has bolstered its digital infrastructure. Students can access their results through multiple official channels:

Official Portals: The primary links will be hosted at cbseresults.nic.in and results.cbse.nic.in.

DigiLocker: As per the government’s “Digital India” push, students can download their verified digital marksheets and migration certificates directly through the DigiLocker app using their registered mobile numbers.

UMANG App: The results will also be accessible via the Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance.
To check the results, students will need their Roll Number, School Number, and Admit Card ID.
Stressing Progress Over Percentages
Education experts suggest that the Phase 1 results should be viewed as a “diagnostic report” rather than a final judgment. Since students still have the Phase 2 examinations scheduled for May, these scores provide a clear roadmap of which subjects require more focus.
The board has also announced that it will continue its policy of not publishing an official “Toppers List” to discourage unhealthy competition and focus on individual student growth. Instead, the board will issue merit certificates to the top 0.1% of students in each subject.
