NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has successfully completed a major milestone in the 2026 result preparation cycle. All affiliated schools have now finalized and uploaded the Internal Assessment and Practical marks for Class 10. With this data now integrated into the central servers, the board has moved into the final “technical synchronization” phase to prepare the result portal for a mid-April launch.
The Class 10 results, which cover the first phase of the dual-exam format implemented this year, are expected to be released between April 15 and April 20, 2026. The board’s IT department is currently stress-testing the official websites cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in to handle the expected surge of over 2.5 million concurrent users. Unlike previous years, the 2026 portal will feature an “Enhanced Digital Access” system, allowing schools to download bulk results while students access individual marks via DigiLocker and the UMANG app.
Parents and students are reminded that the internal assessment marks—comprising periodic tests, notebook submissions, and subject enrichment activities—account for 20% of the total score. CBSE has issued an advisory to students to ignore social media rumors regarding specific result hours, stating that an official notification will be posted on their X (formerly Twitter) handle 24 hours prior to the declaration. The board is also finalizing the “Best of Two” software logic for those students who plan to sit for the second phase of exams in May.
