Tamil Nadu TNDGE: SSLC and HSE Results 2026 Portal Goes Live

CHENNAI – The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE) has officially activated the result portals for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and Higher Secondary Examination (HSE). Millions of students across the state can now access their scores for the 2026 academic year, marking a pivotal moment for those seeking admission into Class 11 and undergraduate programs.

A Staggered Release for Stability

To manage the heavy digital traffic from over 18 lakh students, TNDGE implemented a staggered release schedule. The Class 12 (HSE) results were made available in the morning session, followed by the Class 10 (SSLC) results in the afternoon. This strategy ensured that the official servers remained stable, providing a frustration-free experience for parents and students alike.

Step-by-Step Guide to Download Marksheets

Students can follow these steps to secure their digital marksheet:

  1. Visit the Official Portals: Go to tnresults.nic.in, dge1.tn.nic.in, or dge2.tn.nic.in.

  2. Select the Exam: Click on either the “SSLC April 2026 Results” or “HSE (+2) April 2026 Results” link.

  3. Enter Credentials: Provide your Registration Number and Date of Birth (in DD/MM/YYYY format).

  4. View and Save: Once the result appears, verify the subject-wise marks and download the provisional marksheet for immediate use in the admission process.

The Focus on Technical Skills

The 2026 results reflect the Tamil Nadu government’s “Naan Mudhalvan” initiative, which focuses on skill-based education. For the first time, vocational and technical subjects saw a 12% increase in high-achievers, signaling a shift in student interest toward job-ready skills alongside traditional academic excellence.

Post-Result Support and Counseling

The TNDGE has integrated the “14417” education helpline to assist students who may be disappointed with their results. Additionally, the department has announced that applications for re-totalling and obtaining a photocopy of the answer scripts will be accepted starting next week through the respective school portals.
