The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) officially declared the TS Inter 1st and 2nd Year Results 2026 today at 11:00 AM. A staggering 9.97 lakh students appeared for the examinations held in February and March, making this one of the largest academic cohorts in the state’s history. Education officials noted that the evaluation process for over 60 lakh answer scripts was completed in record time using a new “Digital-First” verification system, which was implemented this year to minimize manual errors and speed up the declaration process.
Performance Statistics and Gender Gap
Initial data suggests a significant trend in student performance: for the sixth consecutive year, girls have outperformed boys in both the 1st and 2nd-year categories. The overall pass percentage for 2nd-year students stands at 72.4%, while the 1st-year results hovered around 64.8%. To support students who narrowly missed the passing marks, the state government is reportedly considering a “grace mark” policy for those within a 2-3 mark margin. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy congratulated the successful students, urging those who did not pass to remain resilient and prepare for the supplementary exams scheduled for June.
Digital Accessibility and Mental Health
To prevent website crashes—a common issue in previous years—results were made available across multiple platforms, including the official TGBIE portal, DigiLocker, and private news partners like the Times of India and Manabadi. The government has also activated a 24/7 “Tele-Manas” helpline to provide counseling for students experiencing result-related stress or anxiety. As the race for EAMCET and other competitive entrance exams begins, the declaration of these results sets the stage for the 2026-27 undergraduate admission cycle across Telangana’s premier engineering and medical colleges.
