MBOSE SSLC Result 2026: Meghalaya Board Announces Class 10 Results

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) officially declared the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) results today, April 7, 2026. Marking a significant achievement for the state’s education department, the board recorded an impressive 86.84% overall pass percentage, a notable leap from previous years.

According to the official data released by MBOSE, Wangaal Lama from Gorkha Pathshala Higher Secondary School, Shillong, emerged as the state topper, securing 585 marks. The second position was bagged by Vishal Kumar with 576 marks. This year’s result showcased a balanced performance between urban and rural districts, though East Khasi Hills continues to lead in the number of high achievers.

In a move toward total digitalization, the board did not display results physically at its Tura or Shillong offices. Students accessed their scorecards via the official portals mbose.in and megresults.nic.in. The gender-wise data revealed a neck-and-neck performance, with females recording a pass rate of 80.81% and males at 80.60%. To pass, students were required to secure a minimum of 30% in each subject. The board has also announced that applications for re-evaluation and the compartmental exams (for those who failed in up to two subjects) will open next week.
