NEW DELHI: Over 25 lakh students who appeared for the CBSE Class 10 examinations are currently on edge as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) prepares to release the results for the 2026 Phase 1 session. Internal sources suggest the board is aiming for a mid-April release, potentially between April 15 and April 20, 2026.
This year’s results are particularly significant as they reflect the board’s new “student-friendly” structural changes, allowing for dual board examinations to reduce academic stress. The Phase 1 exams, which took place from February 17 to March 11, saw a record turnout. The implementation of a new digital evaluation system has reportedly expedited the process, allowing the board to process over 20 million answer scripts in record time.
Students will be able to download their digital marksheets through the DigiLocker app, which remains the primary platform for verified documents. Additionally, results will be available on results.cbse.nic.in. The board has clarified that for students opting to take the second session in May/June, the “best of two” score policy will apply for final certification. Parents and students are advised to keep their Admit Card IDs and School Codes ready for the high-traffic release day.
