PRAYAGRAJ: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has officially reached a major milestone in the 2026 academic cycle. The evaluation process for over 3 crore answer scripts for the Class 10 (High School) and Class 12 (Intermediate) examinations is set to conclude today, April 5, 2026. This year’s evaluation was conducted across 260 designated centers statewide under a high-security blanket, including 24-hour CCTV surveillance and a “zero-error” mandate from the board headquarters.
The Final Stretch of Evaluation
With the physical checking of answer sheets ending today, the board is shifting gears toward the critical “Result Processing” phase. This involves the digitization of marks, cross-verification of internal assessment scores, and the compilation of the statewide merit list. To ensure accuracy, the UPMSP has utilized an integrated data management system that flags any discrepancies between the marks entered online and those on the physical scripts.
Senior officials at the Prayagraj headquarters have indicated that the board is working at an accelerated pace. If the current momentum continues, the UP Board 2026 results are expected to be declared at upmsp.edu.in by April 15 to April 20, 2026.
A Massive Logistical Feat
This year, over 55 lakh students appeared for the board exams. To manage this volume, the board deployed approximately 1.5 lakh examiners. A significant highlight of the 2026 session was the implementation of a “Quick Response” code on answer sheets to prevent tampering and ensure that the right marks were attributed to the right candidates.
How to Check Your Results
Once the results are officially announced via a press conference, students can access their scorecards through the following steps:
-
Visit the official websites: upmsp.edu.in or upresults.nic.in.
-
Click on the link for “UP Board Class 10/12 Result 2026.”
-
Enter your 10-digit Roll Number and the School Code (as mentioned on the admit card).
-
Submit and download the digital marksheet for future reference.
What’s Next for Students?
Following the declaration, the board will open a window for Scrutiny Applications. Students who feel their marks do not reflect their performance can apply for a re-totaling of their scripts. Additionally, the Compartment Exam schedule will be released shortly after the main results to help students who failed to clear one or two subjects.
The early completion of the evaluation is a strategic move by the Uttar Pradesh government to ensure that students can participate in national-level counseling sessions and university admissions without any delay.
